Custody on deposit
Sponsors deposit Forward Purchase Agreements, wire receipts, pledge and security documents, and subscription records. Each document is SHA-256 hashed at the moment of deposit.
Forward Purchase Agreements, payment records, security documents — held in independent digital custody, hashed and anchored to a public timestamp, and verifiable by any holder with a transaction code. No login. No phone calls. No waiting on a fund administrator.
Enter the transaction code from your subscription confirmation or your sponsor's investor portal. Format: FBC-[series]-[role]-[ticket]. No account required.
Three primitives, layered. The custodian holds the file. A public timestamp anchor proves when it was held. A unique transaction code returns the entire chain on demand.
Sponsors deposit Forward Purchase Agreements, wire receipts, pledge and security documents, and subscription records. Each document is SHA-256 hashed at the moment of deposit.
Every document hash is anchored to OpenTimestamps, a public timestamping service rooted in the Bitcoin blockchain. The anchor proves the document existed, unchanged, at the deposit moment — independently of Fund Base Camp.
Each investor and each sponsor receives a unique transaction code. The verification page returns the SPV, the documents in custody, their hashes, the timestamp anchor, and the date of the most recent independent attestation.
Trust is not required. The hash can be independently confirmed by re-hashing any document you receive. The timestamp anchor can be independently confirmed against OpenTimestamps.
At subscription, your sponsor issues a Fund Base Camp transaction code. Format: FBC-[series]-INV-[ticket].
Enter the code at fundbasecamp.com/verify. No account. No password. Anyone with the code can verify.
See the SPV, the list of documents in custody, the SHA-256 hash of each one, the public timestamp anchor, the deposit date, and the date of the last independent attestation.
The timestamp anchor resolves against OpenTimestamps. The hash matches any document you receive. The receipt PDF includes everything needed to re-verify offline.
Four layers — cryptographic, transport, attestation, indemnification. Each layer is verifiable by a different external party. The combination is the credibility.
Every document is cryptographically hashed and timestamp-anchored to the Bitcoin blockchain via OpenTimestamps. Tamper-evidence is mathematical, not promised.
Document storage is encrypted at rest with KMS-managed keys; access is logged via CloudTrail. Transport is TLS 1.3. Bucket-level isolation per sponsor SPV.
A licensed CPA firm runs Agreed-Upon Procedures over Fund Base Camp's records annually. The report is published openly at fundbasecamp.com/security.
Professional errors-and-omissions insurance and a fidelity bond appropriate to the value of documents under custody. Carriers, limits, and certificates available on request.
Fund Base Camp is built for managers of private-market SPVs — pre-IPO marketplaces, secondary funds, venture syndicates, family-office vehicles. Drop documents in. Get a verification code out. Each of your investors gets independently verifiable proof of custody, without you building any of it. The legal scaffolding — custody services agreement, SOC 2 path, insurance disclosures — ships ready to go.
